Wild Florida ventures to the historic and naturally diverse region of the sunshine state’s Forgotten Coast, nestled in Florida’s panhandle.

The Apalachicola River slowly meanders from the Georgia border to Apalachicola Bay, on Florida’s Gulf coast. The river meets the sea near the town of Apalachicola, which is home to one of the last remaining waterfronts in the state. In this lush coastal community the Apalachicola River pumps life into an area where time moves as fast as flowing honey. Called “Apalach” by the locals, Apalachicola’s history, animals and wild habitats offer a glimpse into a world reminiscent of years gone by.
